美軍 C-5 運輸機

(Feb. 5, 2007) - The 709th Airlift Squardron from Dover, Del., prepares to use an electronic winching system to guide the last F-14 Tomcat from Fighter Squadron Thirty One (VF-31) into position on board a C-5 Galaxy at Naval Air Station Oceana. Following hours of maneuvering the Tomcat into place, the C-5 transported the Tomcat to its new home at the OV-10 Bronco Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. (April 10, 2006) - The An-124 Condor (Antonov), a Russian heavylift freighter, known as the worlds largest military airplane sits on Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana's flight line after landing to refuel. The Condor is the equivalent of the U.S Air Force's C-5 "Galaxy" with slightly larger dimensions. 070821-N-5277R-002 ATSUGI, Japan (Aug. 21, 2007) - Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Emmanuel Tantus, assigned to Naval Air Facility Atsugi’s Transient Line Division, gives the OK signal to pull a support vehicle away from a C-5 Galaxy aircraft. Members of the 167th Air National Guard Airlift Wing, of Martinsburg Air Force Base, W.Va., flew the aircraft to Atsugi to deliver two $3.5-million E-2C Hawkeye radar domes, a pair of wings and various other parts in support of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5. The riverine command boat will be delivered to Bahrain to be used in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
